On March 25, 2023, the 3rd National Soft Soil Engineering Academic Conference hosted by the Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Civil Engineering and organized by Jiangsu Society of Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering and Southeast University was successfully held in Nanjing Golden Eagle Shangmei Hotel , soft soil engineering experts and scholars from all over the country will gather together to discuss major soft soil engineering issues, new theories, new technologies and discipline development of soft soil engineering with the theme of “intelligent construction of soft soil engineering”.

Regarding the R&D and promotion of underground structure and space utilization technology, the project “Complete Construction Equipment and Technology R&D and Application of Ultra-deep Equal-thickness Cement-soil Mixing Wall” project completed by Shanghai Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd. won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress in 2017 Award, the project has developed a series of construction equipment for ultra-deep equal-thickness cement-soil mixing walls and a complete set of new technologies that are safe, efficient, energy-saving and consumption-reducing, including equal-thickness cement-soil mixing walls and milling deep-stirring cement-soil mixing walls. Systematic results of theory, design, construction and testing. This project solves the problem of deep groundwater control faced by the development of deep and large underground spaces under complex geology and sensitive urban environments, and is applicable to engineering fields such as anti-seepage of water conservancy projects, isolation of pollutants in landfill sites, and treatment of deep soft soil foundations. The main achievements have reached the international advanced level.
