History

SEMW was established in 1921 as it has 100 years of history. To meet the increasing demand of the international market for Hydraulic Pile Driving Rig, Diesel Pile Hammer. Our corporation combines with Shanghai Jia Yuan Hai Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. to establish Shanghai Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd. which paves the way for the company to become an international leading brand in the future.

1921
In July 1921, initiated by the famous Chinese industrialist Zhang Ye, Liang Qichao, Li Liejun, etc. participated in the shares and raised 305,000 yuan to establish Huashang Xintong Trading Co., Ltd. to operate import and export trade. Zhang Ye was elected as chairman and Shi Boan was appointed as general manager.

Xintong has a head office in Shanghai Jiujiang Road (later Jiangxi Middle Road), and has branches in Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Hankou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Kunming, importing and installing power station equipment.

1951
Xin Tong Trading Co., Ltd. has purchased land and built a factory since 1951. It was completed in 1953 at 1057 Jiang Pu Road. It is a Xin tong Machine Factory, which mainly produces auxiliary equipment for power stations. After the public-private partnership, many small factories have been merged, and the production site and scale have gradually expanded. They are under the leadership of the Ministry of Machinery and then decentralized to the Mechanical and Electrical Bureau.

1960

1962
SEMW already has the capacity to produce 12-15 tons of rollers.

1964
SEMW is able to produce 600 kg diesel pile drivers and is widely used in the market.

1965
SEMW Celebrates 15th Anniversary of New China

1968
Trial production of DJW25 construction device successfully in 1968 and export to Albania.

1977
SEMW successfully trial-produced MD150 twin drum shearer.

1985
Introduced West Germany DELMAG diesel hammer technology in 1985, and became a leading company in diesel hammer production in China.

1995
In 1995, it was reorganized with the prospecting machinery factory to establish Jintai Co., Ltd., and in 2003 it was reorganized again to establish Shanghai Engineering Machinery Factory Co., Ltd.

2017
On February 7, 2017, Shanghai Jia yuan hai Investment (Group) Co.,Ltd. successfully delisted and became the new shareholder of SEMW. The new SEMW who will be relocated to No. 258 Yang nan Road, Bao shan District will set sail completely!
